Waldorf Astoria, Berlin

The brief was to create a new, informal and relaxed all-day café on the ground floor of this well-known hotel, to appeal to both hotel guests and locals alike.

 

Taking inspiration from the original Romanisches Café, once a famous hang-out for artists and bohemians in the early 20th Century, the design has a nod to the traditional Berliner style, but giving it a modern and contemporary twist.
